heres some stuff i made:
rain on glass
started trying to make sounds myself again. i think my ear got a little better after doing simpler magic8 bit melodies and sound making. also, sound is relative to the composition, which is something i got a better sense for. it sounds pretty nice.
dire dire caves
sm64 soundfont is infalliable you dont even have to try it just sounds good
homestuck kinda thing
toby fox copycat music. if you know you know.
snowflakes_and

sunsetter_v2
probably my coolest homestuck like piece. i really want to finish this up eventually but its not a priority. what if it had more samples? what if there was more melody, timing rhythm percussion changes?
a whole 2-3 more additionaly minutes of song? would be epic.
inside_clone_v2

inside_clone_v1
getting way better at chiptune. i feel like i can push stuff like this out fairly consistently.
silly dungeon
I LOVE SUPER MARIO RPG!!!
fast_horse

sparkle_cave
ah yes more weird gameboy stuff. i need to add this to kohoma i think
epic_nuts_mixtape
was improvement for me at the time but i wasnt really happy with it overall. i was trying pretty hard to force myself to use samples in creative ways, but i still feel like i dont have the vision to really experiment without kind of looking for something particular and not experimenting. or id get a couple samples together that sound one way, and get an idea of what i want, then not be able to imagine how other samples could factor into that. hmmmmmm
cool_chiptape_bendy

cool_chiptape
first time i used portamento slides in a way i actually kinda liked
scary_kirby_castle

axelay_battle_cool
probably the first actually cool thing i made from snes samples. kind of marked the beginning of a trend for me i think
stronger_monsters_like

axelay_test_intro_two

axelay_text_intro
when i really started messing with snes samples
hyper_storm_zero
game jam
cave_story_like

home story
wanted to write something cause i wanted to taste that sweet sweet mother beginnings nes vibe. its really "homey"
big orchestral fucking waste
i wanted to write a cool intro. i forgot to connect it with the rest of some kind of song. whoopdee fucking doo it does sound cool. it would be cooler if there was a fucking song following it lol
supprieve_v2

supprieve_v1
not sure why i feel this way, but i feel like its easy to make something cool with slap bass. its just a very versatile sound for some reason. or maybe it just sounds good by itself? im not really sure why, i used to hate it. but i heard it used in zero ranger/homestuck or something and now i really like it
ruins_like_proto
i might actually come back to this melody. its not awful.its just that mixing/sampling abilities at the time were more awful than now lol
zero jazz
good ol zero ranger
megalowania neo

megalowania alpha

somewhere_in_the_mountains

asgore like
common trend I see with these is the practice sort of identifying certain keys in certain things and being able to reproduce something similar.
fallen_dove 2
fallen dove
its really simple but its nice. nice sounds actually. i need to work on ripping sounds out of shans so i can use them in a sampler. unless i can actually get soundfonts working
tragic_something
wanted to get some of that cool imposing beast stuff from mother 3+accelerations/decelerations + big percussion + regal brass
snow mountain at the end

legend of the frog for whom the bell tolls richards awakening

hyper_zone_alpha
did this after listening to hyperzones ost on snes. yeah these early pieces were really too simple. but you start there and go farther
collide 2

beginning of my replicate toby fox homestuck phase.
coolish_8bit

your_older_brother
something i quickly wrote just to have something to upload when i was making the site for the first time its dumb but whatever
